Japanese Photographer Lee Chapman’s series portrays the elderly and their everyday life in Tokyo.
His Tokyo portraits are taken in various parts of the capital. They attempt to depict the struggle of daily life, the seemingly endless years of work, and yet despite everything, an indefatigable sense of spirit. Lee Chapman came to Japan towards the end of the ‘90s, his intention was to leave after a year of two. But he stayed until today and Tokyo became the leading motive in his work.
